Mayfair Neighborhood

Mayfair History

The Mayfair neighborhood was one of Denver's original suburbs, which consisted of many large Victorian and Queen Anne homes on expansive lots and was later filled in with contemporary bungalows, tudor mansions, ranch style homes, modest condos and high-rise apartment buildings.

This neighborhood sits southeast of the downtown area and is bounded by South Colfax, North 6th Avenue, and Monaco. The culture here is high-class with many people pursuing leisure activities during their spare time. The proximity to Rose Hospital and National Jewish Hospital have made this neighborhood a popular and affordable choice for hospital interns and increasingly becoming more attractive to young families.
